Paypal Configuration
Step 1 - Go to the website module Select the menu payment acquirer/providers.
Step 2 - Select the ‘Paypal’ Payment and install it.
Step 3 - after installing the Paypal Payment’ module we need to activate it.
Step 4 - Click on activate and than provide the required information
Like name and code.
Step 5 - For testing purpose change the status to ‘Test Mode’ and provide the
required credentials.(You can get the credentials from the account you
created on paypal payment app)
Step 6 - Below you will find ‘Credentials’ sheet ,
PayPal Email: Enter the email address associated with your PayPal business account.
PDT identity token :- Enter the PDT token, From
Website preferences ‣ Update, scroll down to Payment data transfer and select On. and copy the PDT token
Check on IPN : To enable IPN, go to Website payments ‣ Instant payment notifications ‣ Update and click Choose IPN settings. Enter a Notification URL, select Receive IPN messages (Enabled), and Save.
Step 7- Provide the name you want to display on the payment mode screen.
- Select the supported payment icons, according to your needs.
- Also select the required fields given as per the requirements.
- You can also set a maximum amount value if needed.
- Now select the countries from which you will allow payments(optional can also leave this field blank).
- Below you will find the ‘Payment Followup’ inside which you need to select Payment Journals (e.g.Bank).
Step 8 - On enabling fees , You can add extra fees for domestic as well as
international payments.
Step 9 - At the end You can also provide custom messages such for pending payments, on successful payment and also on cancellation by clicking on the messages.
Step 10 - Now save the details and At last, click on the ‘Publish’ smart button to publish the payment provider , so that it will allow the customer to see the stripe payment option on his/her website page.
Steps to configure Paypal in Odoo (Production): -

To Create account on Paypal for business purpose
1. Go to Paypal.com
2. Click signup for free
3. Select Business Account
4. Enter email Id and make password for it
5. Describe your business like - Business type , product, PAN Number, Paypal Statement Name.
6. Select what you sell.
7. Now come to the home page and below are the options on the page to confirm your email id.
8. Now add your bank account to accept payment.
