Survey Application

The RebusAi Survey application is a feature that allows you to create and conduct surveys to collect feedback from your customers or employees. The Survey module provides a flexible interface for designing and managing surveys that can be customized to meet your specific needs.

With this application, you can create various types of questions such as multiple-choice, open-ended, rating scales, and matrix questions. You can also define survey pages and sections to organize questions logically, and configure survey access rules to control who can take the survey.

How to create a survey?

1. Navigate to the Surveys app.

2. Click on the ‘Create’ button to create a new survey.

3. On the survey form, add a Survey Title.

4. Add a cover image to the survey by hovering over the photo icon and clicking on the Edit (pencil) icon.

5. Under the ‘Questions’ tab, questions and sections can be added to the survey

6. On the main survey template form, you can find various sections of settings that can be edited by going to the Options tab.

a. Questions: focuses on the overall presentation of the survey. Select the layout of the survey and the the following options can be chosen:

    • One page with all the questions
    • One page per section
    • One page per question

b. Scoring: decides how the survey is scored. The following options are available when deciding how a Scoring method:

    • No scoring
    • Scoring with answers at the end
    • Scoring without answers at the end

c. Candidates: manages access to the survey

    • When setting up the survey, you can select between two options for the Access Mode which determine who can access it: "Anyone with the link" and "Invited people only".
    • Underneath the checkbox for "Appraisal Managers Only" is the "Login Required" option, which can be used to make participation in the survey contingent on logging in. Enabling this option will reveal an "Attempts Limit" field, which allows you to set the maximum number of survey attempts for each participant.

    d. Live Session: enables the survey into a real-time group activity.

      • The Live Session section is designed for users who want to conduct real-time surveys, in which they interact directly with a live audience to collect answers.
      • This section allows you to customize the Session Code, which participants will need to access the live session survey. You can also choose to incentivize quick answers by enabling the "Reward quick answers" checkbox. This will provide more points to attendees who answer questions quickly.

      7. Save the survey.

      8. Before sending the survey to participants, you can perform a test to identify any potential errors by clicking on the "Test" button located at the top left corner of the survey template ​ page.

      9. Once activated, RebusAi will redirect the page to a test version of the survey that can be viewed on the front end of the website. This test page will show how the survey will appear ​ to participants. You can then go through the survey like a regular participant to check for any errors.

      10. To go back to the survey template form in the backend, you can click on the "This is a test survey. Edit Survey" link located in the blue banner at the top of the page. After clicking ​   the link, RebusAi will redirect you to the survey template in the backend, where you can make any additional changes before officially sending the survey to participants.

      11. Once you have finished creating the survey and are ready to share it with your audience, click the "Start Survey" button located in the upper-left corner of the survey template form. ​  Afterward, click on the "Share" button.

      12. In the pop-up window that appears, you can add the survey recipients in one of two ways. For existing contacts in the Odoo database, enter their information in the  "Recipients" field. Alternatively, for contacts who do not want to be listed in the Odoo database, use the "Additional emails" field. Once you have added all of the recipients, click the "Send"​button to share the survey.

      13. To review the answers as they come in, you can click the "Answers" smart button located on the survey template form, or you can click the "See Results" button located in the upper-left corner. To end the survey, simply click the "Close" button on the survey template form.

      Survey question

      When designing a survey in Odoo, you can use the Questions tab to add questions and sections for better organization. Sections can be used to group related questions and improve the flow of the survey. To create a section, click on "Add a section" and give it a name. Then, you can add questions to the section by dragging and dropping or typing them in.

      Available Question Types:

      • Multiple Lines Text Box
      • Single Line Text Box
      • Numerical Value
      • Date
      • Datetime
      • Multiple choice: only one answer
      • Multiple choice: multiple answers allowed
      • Matrix

      Options for each questions:

      • Mandatory Answer: the question must be answered.
      • Matrix Type: for matrix-type questions, select if one choice or multiple choices can be selected per row.
      • Number of columns: select how many columns are displayed.
      • Images on answers: allow images on the answer options.
      • Conditional Display: determine if the question is displayed based on the participant’s answer to a previous question.
      • Show Comments Field: allow the participant to type a comment in a text box.
      • Question Time Limit: for live session surveys, set a time limit for the question.
